The First Samson

Judges 13;3 And the Angel of Yawhú appeared to the woman and said to her, "Indeed now, you are barren and have borne no children, but you shall conceive and bear a son.
4 "Now therefore, please be careful not to drink wine or similar drink, and not to eat anything unclean.
5 "For behold, you shall conceive and bear a son. And no razor shall come upon his head, for the child shall be a Nazirite to “Yawhú” from the womb; and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines."
Judges 16:4  Afterward it happened that he loved a woman in the Valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah.
5 And the lords of the Philistines came up to her and said to her, "Entice him, and find out where his great strength lies, and by what means we may overpower him, that we may bind him to afflict him; and every one of us will give you eleven hundred pieces of silver."
6 So Delilah said to Samson, "Please tell me where your great strength lies, and with what you may be bound to afflict you."

16 And it came to pass, when she pestered him daily with her words and pressed him, so that his soul was vexed to death,
17 that he told her all his heart, and said to her, "No razor has ever come upon my head, for I have been a Nazirite to Yawhú from my mother's womb. If I am shaven, then my strength will leave me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man."

18  When Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, "Come up once more, for he has told me all his heart." So the lords of the Philistines came up to her and brought the money in their hand.
19 Then she lulled him to sleep on her knees, and called for a man and had him shave off the seven locks of his head. Then she began to torment him, and his strength left him.
20 And she said, "The Philistines are upon you, Samson!" So he awoke from his sleep, and said, "I will go out as before, at other times, and shake myself free!" But he did not know that Yawhú had departed from him.
21 Then the Philistines took him and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza. They bound him with bronze fetters, and he became a grinder in the prison.
22  However, the hair of his head began to grow again after it had been shaven.
23 Now the rulers of the Philistines gathered together to offer a great offering to Dagon their “god”, and to rejoice. And they said: "Our god has delivered into our hands Samson our enemy!"
24 When the people saw him, they praised their “mighty one”; for they said: Our ““mighty one”” has delivered into our hands our enemy, The destroyer of our land, And the one who multiplied our dead.

25 So it happened, when their hearts were merry, that they said, "Call for Samson that he may perform for us." So they called for Samson from the prison, and he performed for them. And they stationed him between the pillars.
26 Then Samson said to the lad who held him by the hand, "Let me feel the pillars which support the temple, so that I can lean on them."
27 Now the temple was full of men and women.
All the rulers of the Philistines were there, about three thousand men and women on the roof watching while Samson performed.
28 Then Samson called to “Yawhú” saying, O “Yawhú”,
remember me, I pray! Strengthen me, I pray, just this once,  that I may with one blow take vengeance on the Philistines for my two eyes!"
29 And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars which supported the temple, and he braced himself against them, one on his right and the other on his left.
30 Then Samson said, "Let me die with the Philistines!" And he pushed with all his might and the temple fell on the rulers and all the people who were in it. So the dead that he killed at his death were more than he had killed in his life.

Samson was raised… up by Yawhú to be the deliverer to his people the Israelites and had been brought up under the vows of the Nazarene.

Vows of the Nazarene
Num 6:1 Then Yawhú spoke to Moses, saying,
2 "Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: 'When either a man or woman consecrates an offering to take the vow of a Nazirite, to separate himself to Yawhú,
3 'he shall separate himself from wine and similar drink; he shall drink neither vinegar made from wine nor vinegar made from similar drink; neither shall he drink any grape juice, nor eat fresh grapes or raisins.
4 'All the days of his separation he shall eat nothing that is produced by the grapevine, from seed to skin.
5 'All the days of the vow of his separation no razor shall come upon his head; until the days are fulfilled for which he separated himself to Yawhú, he shall be set-apart. Then he shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow.

The key to… his extraordinary power lay in his seven locks of uncut hair on his head.

Sleeping with the enemy….Samson was betrayed by his wife Delilah for a sum of money

Losing his powers…Delilah had lulled him to sleep so that his locks of hair could be cut off by his enemy resulting in him losing his special powers.
The Spirit of Eternal Yaw had left him due to his disobedience. As a result Samson then became powerless and unable to resist his enemies.

Captivity and blindness… With his super abilities now lost, he was unable to withstand his aggressors who then captured him and made him a slave. They blinded him by removing his eyes and made him to become a grinder in their prison.

As time moved on… the hair on Samson’s head began to grow again and his power once more returned to him. It was then that the rulers of the Philistines gathered together to offer a great offering to Dagon their “mighty one”, and to rejoice. They said: "Our god has delivered into our hands Samson our enemy!"
Samson then reached out and put his hands around the two middle pillars that supported the structure of the temple. As he braced himself against them, he called to “Yawhú” saying, O’ “Yawhú”, remember me, I pray! Strengthen me, I pray, just this once that I may with one blow take vengeance on the Philistines for my two eyes!"Then Samson committing suicide said "Let me die with the Philistines!" He pushed with all his might and the temple fell on the rulers and all the people who were in it, killing about three thousand of his enemies with himself

The second and greater Samson

Hoshay’ah Maw-shee’-akh …like Samson of old was also raised up by Yaw-Eternal to be the deliverer to His people. His power also lay in the life of separation that he lived and his reverence and obedience to His Father. He was also betrayed by a woman (His spiritual bride the Jews) who gave him up to be to be impaled and die on a Roman stake.

Unlike Samson… He did not succumb to sin. As a result of this He retained His powers as well as His sight. Out of free will He allowed His accusers to take Him captive and did not defend Himself. This He willingly chose to do, so that the awesome mission of Him becoming the human sin offering lamb of the world could be fulfilled.

The stake Hoshay’ah … was impaled on, was like Samson, stationed in the middle between two pillars, (stakes) on which two thieves hung. He was also mocked and made fun of by the crowd who said “if you be the Son of “Yaw” come down from the stake”. The truth of the matter is, like Samson who had the power to do so and who took vengeance upon his aggressors, Hoshay’ah chose rather to rise above his own emotions and endure the pain as well as the humiliation of his aggressors, that He may fulfil the greater cause this being, to do the will of His Father.

The seven words he spoke as he hung on the stake

(dealt more fully in the previous teaching the seven words of Calvary. Knowledge in the Word No.2)

No.1. Luke 23: 34 Then Maw-shee’-akh said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do."
Hiswillingness to forgive without malice.

No.2. Luke 23: 43 And Maw-shee’-akh said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise."
His willingness to pardon our transgressions.

No.3. John 19:26 When Maw-shee’-akh therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, "Woman, behold your son!"
27 Then He said to the disciple, "Behold your mother!"
And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home.

His provision.

No. 4.John  19: 28 After this, Maw-shee’-akh, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, "I thirst!"
His own basic needs denied.
No.5. John 19: 46 And about the ninth hour Maw-shee’-akh cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Uli, Uli, lama
sabachthani?" that is, "All Mighty One,All Mighty One, why have You forsaken Me?"
His anguish and His loneliness.

No.6
. John 19:30 So when Hoshay’ah  had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!"
His mission completed and His triumph
No.7. Luke 23: 46 And when Maw-shee’-akh had cried out with a loud voice, He said, "Father, 'into Your hands I commit My spirit.'" Having said this, He breathed His last.
His unwavering trust and commitment, to His Father.

Luke 23:44 Now it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.
Mt 27:51 Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split,
52 and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the them who had fallen asleep were raised;
53 and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the city and appeared to many.
54 So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Hoshay’ah, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, "Truly this was the Son of The Eternal Father!"

Darkness fell over… the earth as the ground quaked and the rocks split at the power of His Father’s might. His mission was now complete; the atonement for sin was done. The two structural pillars which sustained this unconquerable fortress was now completely demolished. The stronghold of this enemy “the law” came crashing to the ground, dead and powerless like the enemies of Samson of old, never to rule again. The veil in the temple that stood in defiance, between mankind and heaven beyond like the walls of ancient Jericho, was rent in two. The way to the new Yaw-Ru-Shalom was now open to all who would accept deliverance in His name and so doing, receive the right to journey on and beyond.

The third and last Samson

Firstly…The key to Samson’s extraordinary powers lay in his seven locks of uncut hair on his head, which typified the power of the law to carnal Israel of old, and what remained of them, that at a later stage became the Jewish nation. If, like Samson they lived set-apart lives and were obedient to the covenant of Yawhú’, they would also be blessed and be invincible to their enemies. (Deut 27 & 28)

In defiance of Yawhú’s command they broke their vow of separation and proceeded to mix with the heathen. They committed adultery with them, who then enticed them to follow in their ways to serve their “gods”. They in so-doing broke the covenant of separation and the law between Yawhú and themselves.

Yawhú sent them prophets to convince them to repent and change from their wicked ways. Instead of heeding, they treated the prophets cruelly and killed others. Finally, He sent them His Son, who they also willfully persecuted and killed.

Mt 23:32 "Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers' guilt.
33 "Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell?

34  "Therefore, indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes: some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city,
35 "that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.
36 "Assuredly, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation.
37 "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the
prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!
38 "See! Your house is left to you desolate;

Mashiach being a prophet knew that He would be the next on their list.

Due to Israel’s rebellion …The Spirit of Eternal Yaw then left them. Like Samson who had lost his hair, they became powerless and unable to resist the onslaught of their enemies.
Having lost their spiritual sight and special powers, they subsequently were overpowered by their enemies, who took them into captivity and made slaves out of them.

The following are… the events that then took place:
This people who had become an abomination to Yawhú thru their rebellion to him, were finally made desolate when, He firstly sent Titus the Roman General with his legions in 70 A.D. to attack and break down their walls, burn their cities as well as their temple.
They were stoned as a harlot by the Romans who unleashed their catapult machines on them.  Those who escaped formed a resistance and for the next 65 years fought back.
Because they continued in their sins, iniquities and abominations, He secondly, finally made Zion desolate of her people in the year 132-135 A.D. by sending Hadrian the Roman Emperor (Dan.9:27), who crushed their resistance completely. They were then dispersed between the nations.

Like Samson who… was taken captive by his enemies, and  was made a grinder in their prison.
The Jews were treated badly by these nations and many of them were later taken captive by Hitler and the Nazis, who murdered them by their thousands in gas chambers. Thus fulfilling the fate that they had brought upon themselves, in the scripture quoted below.

Mt 27:25 Then answered all the people, and said, His (Hoshay’ah’s) blood be on us, and on our children

Israel the spiritual Samson regains his strength …

Firstly….the 1260 prophetic days meaning years prophesied by Daniel was fulfilled in 1918. A.D. when between 1914 - 1918 A.D. war broke out and was won. As Samson’s hair “spiritually speaking” once more began to grow on his head and his strength started to return to his body. In 1922 the Balfour declaration was signed and as a direct result, the Jews who had been dispersed among the nations were able to, in their thousands return to their homeland.
Secondly… thirty years later in 1948.A.D. the 1290 days prophecy was fulfilled. Once more instating the Jews (Israel), as a nation and their first parliamentary sitting was then held. (Ezek.37:10-12)

Luke 21:24.. and Jerusalem .. will be trodden down of the Gentiles .. until .. the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

Dan 8:13-14.. Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint, how long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary (Jerusalem) and the host (Israel) to be trodden underfoot.  And he said unto me, unto two thousand and three hundred days then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

Thirdly in… 1967 A.D. the 2300 year prophecy was fulfilled. The six day war that then took place was won and the seven times Gentile curse came to an end. Jerusalem was no longer in the possession of her enemies. The Jews like Samson of old had once more regained their power.

As Samson who was placed… in the middle of the two pillars surrounded by his enemies. Jerusalem now stands in the middle of the Arab nations who constantly torment and mock them with their terrorist actions, rockets and explosive devices. The Jews (except for the Messianic believers who do except Yawhúshúa as Maw-shee’-akh) have like Samson, also lost their spiritual sight. They are still blind to this day and not giving any honour or recognition to Yaw-Eternal for their accomplishments, nether do they recognise His Son as the Maw-shee’-akh.

Joh 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
As prophesied… in the not too distant future, their false messiah will stand up and for a short time unite these nations.

1Th 5:3 For  when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
Da 2:34 Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.

As iron and clay… do not mix, this time of peace will be short lived.

Judges 16:23 Now the rulers of the Philistines gathered together to offer a great offering to their {“god”}, and to rejoice. And they said: "Our {god} has delivered into our hands Samson our enemy!"
24 When the people saw him, they praised their {“god”}; for they said: "Our {god} has delivered into our hands our enemy, The destroyer of our land, And the one who multiplied our dead."
All the rulers of the Philistines were there-about three thousand men and women on the roof watching while Samson performed.
28 Then Samson called to the “Yawhú” saying, "O “Yawhú”, remember me, I pray! Strengthen me, I pray, just this once, , that I may with one blow take vengeance on the Philistines for my two eyes!"
29 And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars which supported the temple, and he braced himself against them, one on his right and the other on his left.
30 Then Samson said, "Let me die with the Philistines!" And he pushed with all his might and the temple fell on the rulers and all the people who were in it.

As Samson of old… was bound and placed between two pillars in the middle of his enemies, who surrounded him on all sides to mock and make fun of him, so will the Arab nations rally around Jerusalem in their hatred against each other to destroy the Jews.

Re 16:16 And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon.

The Jews who… thru their vast monitory and political recourses as well as their network of secret societies, control the power as well as the nuclear arsenals of the world. In their vengeance not willing to suffer the humiliation of defeat will finally like Samson, commit suicide by pulling down the two pillars of the east and the west. The atomic explosion that will occur because of this as well as the retaliatory actions taken by their enemies will result in a nuclear chain reaction that will bring all life as we know it on this earth to an end.

Judges 16:30 So the dead that he killed at his death were more than he had killed in his life.
Mat 24:15 (15-22) "Therefore when you see the 'abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the Set-apart place" (whoever reads, let him understand),
6 "then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

This was a double...

.… warning prophesy given by Maw-shee’-akh to His children.

Firstly…when Titus the Roman General with his legions in 70 A.D. was drawing near the followers of Yawhushúa, were warned and heeded this prophesy by fleeing to the mountains, thereby escaping the devastation that followed.

Secondly…we who live in the end time need to take heed of the time that we are living in. Our refuge is in the heavenly Mount Zion the New Jerusalem. As this is a spiritual city we need to get our spiritual lives in tune, if we are to take advantage of its protection and promises to come.

When will the end come?
No one that I know of… can with any certainty predict the exact time, but if we should take the following two examples in mind.

Ex 19:10 Then Yawhú said to Moses, "Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes.
11 "And let them be ready for the third day. For on the third day I will come down upon Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.
16  Then it came to pass on the third day, in the morning, that there were thunderings and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mountain; and the sound of the trumpet was very loud, so that all the people who were in the camp trembled.
17 And Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet with Yawhú, and they stood at the foot of the mountain.
20Then Yawhú came down upon Mount Sinai, on the top of the mountain. And Yawhú called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.

1. Moses was given… two days to prepare the people to meet Yawhú, and early on the third day Moses was called up the mountain to meet Him.
Two thousand years have passed (two spiritual days), during this period, Mashiach the greater Moses has given us time to prepare ourselves for the judgment day. This is so that the redeemed people (the Moses body) may ascend to the heavenly Mount Zion, which is the new Jerusalem, early in the morning on the third spiritual day. This is the seven thousandth year, and also the Sabbath since Adam).

Joshua 6: 15 But it came to pass on the seventh day that they rose early, about the dawning of the day, and marched around the city seven times in the same manner. On that day only they marched around the city seven times.
16 And the seventh time it happened, when the priests blew the trumpets, that Joshua said to the people: "Shout, for “Yawhú” has given you the city!
20 So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat. Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before Him and they took the city!

2. We are nowearly in the morning so to speak of the seventh prophetical day which is also the seventh thousand year and Sabbath since Adam. The seven trumpets will soon begin to sound and the walls or strongholds of this age will soon collapse. These mortal bodies will soon put on immortality and we the redeemed shall be going up into the city our celestial home the New Jerusalem.

Could it be….That history is about to repeat itself and that Yawhú is going to use the exact date only two thousand years later setup by Hadrian the Roman Emperor in A.D.35 to make desolate this abomination?

(Mat 24:15 (15-22) "Therefore when you see the
'abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet (Dan.9:27),

Not only of Israel… this time, but of the whole world for their sins against Him in 2135 A.D.? If we should consider the above two examples we should find that 135 years into a period of a thousand years could well be referred to as early in the morning.

It is my opinion…based on the above that I do not believe Maw-shee’-akh will come in my lifetime, but that we are called with the same spirit of Uli-Yaw (Elijah) of old, telling people to come out and denounce the pagan teachings and practices inherited by their “religions”. We have to tell them to turn to the only true belief which is in Eternal Father thru His Son Yawhushúa our Maw-shee’-akh. This is the only way of escape from that final judgment day.

Jude 1:3  Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common deliverance, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the belief which was once delivered unto the believers.

Acts 4: 12 "Nor is there deliverance in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be redeemed."

Mt 3:3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of Yawhú ", make his paths straight.

Rev18:4… 4 And I heard another voice from heaven saying, "Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.
Zephaniah 3:9 For then will I (re) turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of “Yawhú.”, to serve Him with one consent.

In closing…I would like to end this teaching with these words from the Emissary Paul in 2 Cor 13:11… Finally brethren farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the Father of love and peace will be with you.
Shalom
