In the Scriptures… The Father repeatedly calls upon His people to “have a heart”. When referring to “the heart” we are not referring to the biological pump that sits in the center of ones chest, that causes the blood to flow through the veins in our bodies. We are in fact metaphorically or figuratively speaking of the very center of our thought processes, “the mind” which in turn “if reformed” can house the Spirit of the Father within us. It is from here that we should make the decisions and choices on which we command our bodies to react upon.
There are some 823 verses in The Scriptures in which “this kind of heart” or mind is mentioned. It is these minds or hearts that need to be renewed to conform to the will of The Father.

Eph 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
Col 3:10 And have put on the new man (with a renewed heart), which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

The first commandment… Mawshee’akh (Messiah) councils us in …
Mark 12:30 And thou shalt love The Father with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

The Scripture… repeatedly speaks of The “Father’s Provision” it also keeps saying that we need to “have a heart.”

Deut 5:29 O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children forever!

These two… things go together: “His provision” and to “have a heart”. The one gives meaning to the other. The one is the source and the other is the outcome.

In the midst… of a starving majority of people in our country and in the world, you are not very popular  today when you speak to people who have it all, and tell them to “have a heart” towards others less fortunate.

One of the events… that sparked off the French revolution many years ago, was when Marie Antoinette, who was so far out of touch with the reality of the plight the people were in, in reply to their starving request for food, she was heard to say. “If the people don’t have bread to eat why don’t they have cake instead?”

We are not…always in The Spirit…we are not always loving... we are not always kind… We need to be ruled by our renewed hearts and not by our heads. We need to “have a heart”.

Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against the Father: for it is not subject to His law, neither indeed can be.

Circumcision typified…the cutting away of the flesh, meaning; our carnal minds or natures. We are to disregard it, that our hearts without negative influence may be able to serve The Father.

Deut 10:16 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiff-necked.
Deut 30:6 And Yawhú  thy Almighty One will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love Yawhú  thy Almighty One with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

We need to… have our hearts of stone transformed, so that the Spirit may write the Father’s will on them. (Read my teaching; Rudiments No3.)

2 Cor. 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Mawshee’akh  thought by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of “Yaw”; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

The Psalmist …could pray…
Psalm 139:23 Search me, Yawhú , and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: (I pray)

He also… advises us to…
Prov 23:12  Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge.

Solomon realized… that to be able to rule the great nation of people that he had been made King of, he needed to first get his heart in the right place.

1Kings 3:9 Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?

Yawhú  was… pleased with his choice and granted him his request.

1Kings 3:12 Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.

Solomon… realized that the temple that he had built would be of no use, if Yawhú did not accept and bless it. Even so, we need to realize that our human temples are of no worth, if The Father’s Spirit does not live in our hearts.

1Kings 9:3 And Yawhú said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my Name there forever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

We live in a time where man’s knowledge has developed to such a degree, that he can finally only start to understand and appreciate the marvel of nature, and the fine degree of balances that apply.
It is this miracle of creation that keeps our bodies, nature around us, our planet and the universe beyond in check as well as functioning properly. The enormity of it is mind blowing and far beyond our human comprehension.  The more we learn, the more we realize that we have not even begun to scratch the surface of knowledge of things around us, let alone those things beyond us.

If these things… that we see, can only partially be
comprehended by us, how much more will heavens splendor, and all the things promised that are still to come, be to us?

1Cor  2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which The Almighty hath prepared for them that love him.

It is only an idiot… that can attribute this all to chance and deny the existence of The Almighty One, as well as Heaven’s Rule, and not pay Him the honor due unto Him and His Father.

Pslam 53:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no Almighty One. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity:

When the sins.. of passion, lust, envy, desire, jealousy, greed and all the emotions that go with it, takes over our minds, our hearts are corrupted. They can burn like a fever or a fire out of control in you. They destroy all rational thought and reasoning, that you otherwise would be capable of. This often leaves you powerless to put an end to, until it has had its way with you, and left you vulnerable, hopelessly and completely burned out.

Most of us… have been through this more than one time or another. In fact, some of you reading this sermon, be going through the very same or a very similar situation right now. It is incredible the amount of mental and psychological pain we sometime have to endure as a result of our sins.
What had at first appeared to you as an exciting challenge or maybe a casual flirtation, has now turned out to be your greatest nightmare and disaster. In this way, relationships sadly come to an end, marriages fall apart, children become victims, and lives are shattered into pieces.
Many times, that which started off to you as having a little bit of fun, has finally landed up as not being so much fun at all.  On the contrary, in the end you are left with nothing but feelings of acute guilt, rejection, worthlessness and very low self-esteem. These feelings plague and shame the very foundation of your being, while loneliness rules the order of the day.
You realize that your life has been going downhill on a roller-coaster ride with seemingly no escape, and now you have eventually just hit rock bottom.

It is comforting… to know, that a great man like David, had also at a time, lost heart and fallen victim to a similar kind or even worse situation. So blind to his own sin was he, that he landed up pronouncing his own death sentence upon himself, when confronted by the prophet Nathan.(2Sam 12:1-13)

David the man…who was known by the Farther for his honesty of heart, found his heart corrupted when he had hopelessly fallen victim to the lust of his flesh. So emotionally entangled did he get with one of his loyal followers’ wife, that while her husband was away at war, and to cover up the pregnancy that resulted from his illicit affair with her, he arranged for her husband’s death, so that he could save face by hiding his sins to avoid shame and prosecution.

We often find… that the notion prevails that “out of sight is out of mind”. The truth of the matter is that we are never “out of sight nor out of mind neither out of the reach” of The Father.

Obad 1: 3-4 The pride of your heart has deceived you, You who dwell in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; You who say in your heart, 'who will bring me down to the ground?'
4 Though you ascend as high as the eagle, And though you set your nest among the stars, from there I will bring you down," says Yawhú.

This grievous matter… did not escape The Fathers attention, which sent The prophet Nathan to confront David with his sins.
The law stated that if a man and woman should be caught in adultery; they should be taken and be stoned to death and the same applied to those who have taken someone’s life.

Lev 20:10  And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.
Deut 5:17 Thou shalt not kill.

A
ccording to the law… he was a dead man as well as she. His only way out was to fall on his knees, repent and ask for the Father to have compassion on him and to forgive his sins. In other words, to ask the Father to “ Have a Heart!”

Pslam 51:1 A Psalm of David when Nathan the prophet went to him, >> Have compassion upon me, Father, According to Your loving-kindness; According to the multitude of Your tender pardon, Blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I acknowledge my transgressions, And my sin is always before me.
4 Against You, You only, have I sinned, And done this evil in Your sight-That You may be found just when You speak, And blameless when You judge.
5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me.

David came clean!...He did not try to cover up or shift the blame onto the woman, or someone else as was in the case of Adam and Eve in… Gen 3:12 Then the man said, "The woman whom You gave to be with me,.she gave me of the tree, and I ate."
And Yawhú said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate.

When asking for.. forgiveness we need to come clean, own up and face the responsibility of our deeds.
“It is not my butcher,… nor my baker,… my lawyer,… my friends… or anyone else but me who is to blame!”

The Father …requires an honest and truthful heart before he can cleanse and heal it.

On the day of… Pentecost three thousand people repented like David. They too had been guilty of the death of an innocent man. Because of their confession and request for forgiveness, their hearts were washed clean by the blood of The Lamb. This was the proof, that The Father “Has a Heart”. He not only washed their hearts, he cleansed their lives also and then anointed them with His Spirit that they could thereafter walk righteously in His ways.

Acts2: 14  But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, "Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words.
36 "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that Yaw-Eternal has made this Hoshay'ah, whom you impaled, both Master and Mawshee’akh ."
37  Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?"
38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be immersed in the name of Yawhúshúa Mawshee’akh  for the
remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the “Rauch Qôdesh” (Hebrew for the spirit of separation from the world and unto The Father
39 "For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as The Father will call."
40 And with many other words he witnessed and exhorted them, saying, "Be delivered from this perverse generation."
41 Then those who gladly received his word were immersed; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.

Psalm 51:6-11 Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.
7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8 Make me hear joy and gladness, That the bones You have broken may rejoice.
9 Hide Your face from my sins, And blot out all my iniquities.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O Yawhú, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Spirit from me.

A clean and… a steadfast spirit go together. You cannot have the one without the other.

Worldliness and sin… robs us of our joy and freedom in serving The Father. At all costs we need to have this re-stored.

Psalm12-16 Restore to me the joy of Your redemption, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
13 Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, And sinners shall be converted to You.

The pain of guilt…for those who are suffering from it no matter what the situation may be, is a hard thing to bear. If we do not repent and seek the Father’s forgiveness,…it will surely bring you down.

14 Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O Yawhú , The Mighty One of my redemption, And my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.
15 Pray, open my lips, And my mouth shall show forth Your praise.

There is nothing… of worth that I can give you to make restitution or I would gladly do so, seeing that all belongs to you anyhow, David pleads! Please accept my broken spirit, as well as my remorseful and penitent heart as my offering to you, as that is all that I have to give!
Please Father I pray to you! ….“Have a Heart”

16 For You do not desire blood offering, or else I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering.
17 The offerings of Yawhú are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart-These, O Yawhú, You will not despise. “Have a Heart”

Throughout the Scripture the Father is calling us and telling us to Have a Heart.
Thousands of people around the world and in many generations have already heeded the call.
The Father has a heart and is calling us to have one too.
We need not go through life feeling weighed down by sin. We only need to turn and ask him to forgive us our sins and give us a clean heart.

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth, Yawhúshúa Mawshee’akh , and shalt believe in thine heart that Yaw-Eternal hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be redeemed

Heb 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of trust, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. (being immersed)

We need to… know that The Father really cares and not to live our lives as if He does not care. Before we were even born, in fact before the creation of our world, Yawhú “The Son”, our heavenly Father knew that he would have to at a stage, take on humanity, to come and die as a ransom for our sins.

Rev 13:8 ….written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

The Supreme Father… Yaw-Eternal Himself, did not escape the pain of responsibility of bringing us into this world through his Son. As a result of our sins Yawhúshúa had to offer up His life for us.

Joh 3:16 For Yaw-Eternal so loved the world (us), that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

In conclusion …Yaw-Eternal the Supreme Father of all “Has a Heart” towards us. His Son Yawhúshúa  Mawshee’akh our Heavenly Father “Has a Heart” towards us. The Angels in heaven who serve and look out for our wellbeing “Have a Heart” towards us.
They are all in turn calling out to us to get our lives in order, and “Have just such a Heart” towards them. We also need to “Have a Heart” towards our husbands, our wives, parents, families, friends and all who we know. “Why?” Well that’s what “heart people” do!!

Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Yawhúshúa   Mawshee’akh, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. (In your heart)

We need to… bear in mind that before we even knew The Father, he already gave His Son to die as a ransom for our sins in advance. “Why?” Because “They Have a Heart!!”

If we… “Have a Heart” we will bear the fruits of the Spirit as ‘Heart People” do, which is:

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, truthfulness,
23 gentleness,self-control. Against such there is no law.
24 And those who are in Yawhúshúa Mawshee’akh have put
aside the flesh with its passions and desires.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

My prayer today is to all who read this message, that you may “Have a Heart” The Father may be proud of.
Further that Yaw-Eternal the Father of love and peace be with you and guide you. May His richest blessings be upon all who revere and call on His blessed Name, thru His Son Yawhúshúa   ourMawshee’akh .
Shalom – Br. Harold.
